Donations help fulfill residents’ Christmas wishes

Beasley Allen presents donation to Angel Tree program at Capitol Hill Healthcare. The generosity of Capitol Hill Healthcare’s community partners is important to our ability to enrich the lives of our residents. For several years, their support during the holiday season has benefited our Angel Tree program. The Beasley Allen Law Firm recently presented a $1,250 gift to the program to help us fulfill present requests for our residents.

Annually, our staff collects or purchases requested items such as blankets, clothing, games, hygiene products, jewelry and shoes. These gifts help residents know that they are loved and remembered during the holidays. Beasley Allen has been a long-time supporter of the Angel Tree. Kimberly Youngblood, HR and IT director, said the firm’s employees love delivering their gifts in-person. This year, they opted for a financial donation to help protect residents during the pandemic.

“It matters,” Youngblood said. “We were so disappointed we did not do the delivery this year, but we hope we can at least bless [with a financial donation].”

Administrator Michael Burnett said he is grateful for the efforts of Beasley Allen and other donors.

“On behalf of Capitol Hill, we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it. It will go a long way for helping our residents,” Burnett said.
